Barrel o' Fun
Barrel of Monkeys=Barrel of Fun
If you haven't played this game recently or ever, you really should, really soon. After playing this game for over one and a half decades, I found out today that even more than one person can play. Whodathunkit? This game is fun, so play it!

Looking Down
I'm always fascinated by things that are on the ground, partially because I think we rarely look at them. We're told from a young age to walk with our head up, for safety and self-esteem; both good things. However, I feel that we have lost a substantial amount of fascination and imagination by looking upwards. So I encourage you when you're walking to look down and see what you see (I will not however be responsible for you running into walls, doors, flag poles, cars, etc... so be careful).

Wind Rocks!
We're back in Colorado. We stopped a ton of places on the drive home this time. We took a scenic byway south of Topeka, drove around a little town called Maple Hill and took some pictures, hung out at the wind farm http://tradewindenergy.com/ and explored a 1893 Schoolhouse. I'm going to be setting up an external site that will have more pics, because posting 1 a day is limiting sometimes. Anyway, if you drive through KS, stop by the wind farm, it's really, really awesome.

Kansas City
I love this city. I sincerely miss this beautiful city, however, I don't feel that I'm supposed to come back, at least not yet. Colorado Springs is nurturing many new passions for me and I'm excited to see where in Colorado that we end up living if that's where we choose to live. Today was our last day of visiting people. We saw a bunch of people from Starbucks, Jen, John & Cindy, My Dad's family, and Dana. Here's a picture of the city and a picture of a cigarette that I found on the ground burning.

Truman
Today we went to the Truman Library in Independence, MO. This is a picture of an exhibit showing the number of planes that landed daily in Berlin during the Cold War with supplies.

Sunday
Today was a lot of fun. We went several different places and saw a lot of people we love. Here's a picture of us with Christine, and two different pictures I took that I couldn't decide between. They were taken at Unity Village, MO

Saturday
Today I committed the ultimate sin for a photographer, I lost my equipment. Luckily, I also found it, with a little persistence. To make a long story short I'll give you a short synopsis of the experience. I absentmindedly left my camera in it's case while eating lunch at Chipotle. I then went to a movie with Abbey, my Mom and Chris and realized half way through the movie that I had left the camera. We went back to Chipotle, I asked if they had seen it or had picked it up, they said no. Chris wanted to make sure and so he went back in and asked and they once again said Nope, that no one had seen it, and that they had even asked the other Manager who said nobody had seen it. Abbey and I left, very emotional about the situation. Sitting at my Mom's I decided to call again and ask just so I could have some closure with the situation and the same girl who told us both that nobody had seen it confessed that they had my camera in a drawer. Hmmmm is all I have to say about that. I'm just happy to have it back.
We went over to my Aunt's house for dinner and games. Voila:

Dessert
We made it to Kansas City today! We were introduced to a new Dessert. Blackberries with Ice Cream (Soy) and then a red wine on top. We were also introduced to a new wine, the one on the ice cream. Corky's Barrel, produced by Holy-Field Winery in Basehor, KS. I would rate it as the best red I've had that is made in the U.S.

A Little Trip
Today Abbey and I left Colorado on a little trip, final destination: Kansas City. We stopped in Lanham, NE to visit with my Grandparents this afternoon, I love you Grandpa and Grandma! We visited with them for about 5 hours and then headed out to Manhattan, KS to see Michael! I forgot to get a picture with the grandparents, but here's one with Michael!

I Love My Car
I have a Red, `94 Toyota Celica, Angelica the Celica. I love my car. It's an incredible car. I bought it when it had 115,000 miles on it. Today I rolled 200,000 and had a little happy dance while I was driving, so I took a picture. I love love love my car! The last 85,000 have been fun and am looking forward to at least the next 100,000 (many people have a Toyota for 350,000+).

Fun Fun Fun
Tonight Abbey and I had a early Anniversary celebration. We met on the 17th of February 8 years ago. We'll officially be celebrating in Kansas City at one of our favorite restaurants. But tonight, we went and had Indian food and then went to Mr. Biggs. Here's a couple pictures of Skeeball, shot on a 10 second delay (in case you were wondering if I took the pictures!).

The Answer: Beer
The Thursday picture was the inside of a beer bottle with some bubbles in it. I decided to post the answer because nobody responded, I didn't give much time though... So tonight's picture is of a relative to the Beer on Thursday. Singletrack Copper Ale brewed by Boulder Beer, right here in Colorado.

I'm Not Telling.
So I thought about sharing what this picture is, however I thought it would be more fun (or funner for those people who think it's more fun to say funner) to see who could guess what this is. The most accurate conclusion will win a prize, not sure what, maybe a Gift Card to Chipotle or something.

Bubble Wrap
Today at work we received several shipments with an overkill amount of what I consider a Precious Commodity, Bubble Wrap. Yes, this package sent straight from heaven into my arms may have been one of the top two parts of my day. The second being climbing, as usual with my favorite climbing partner. I had mucho fun with these bubbles and even got in a little bit of bubble popping action with a friend at work. Yes, there was hand popping, twisting, and dancing on the wondrous rolls of bubbles. Life is Good.

Reflexology
Abbey and I took a Couples Reflexology class tonight. It was lots of fun and oh so relaxing! If you've never tried it, google it and check it out, it truly is amazing. Oh, and if you have access to a telescope, you should definitely go check out the moon, which we also did tonight. I haven't looked through my telescope in years, it's amazing how cool the moon really is: craters, rock formations, different textures throughout.
And I realize this is the second picture of feet this week, I'll try to not include anymore feet for awhile.

God & Denver
Today Ab and I went to Denver for fun. Our first stop was the art store to pick-up some much needed artistic tools. As you can see, God was there, so I took her picture in the parking lot on the back of a sign.

Shoes
Today was a day of multiple footwear requirements. My usual everyday shoe is a pair of Keens. However, today started with my Nike running shoes for the Nielsen 2 Mile Run, followed by my bare feet for a Yoga session with Abbey, and then followed with my Climbing shoes for 5 hours of climbing with Abbey. Today was good!

Green is Good
We have a happy little (not so little) ficus, that we love so much. I talk to it often, it grows as fast as a baby, and I think it's beautiful. I think it needs a name now. I'll have to work on that.
Fun fact: there are over 850 Species in the Ficus Family. Imagine having to remember all of those relatives' names during holidays...

Contrast
During lunch today I stumbled upon a really cool area that I've never seen. It's partially open land, partially upscale developed. I took a lot of pictures of different contrasting images that I saw. A run-down train went tearing down the tracks with million dollar homes in the background. I saw a lot of different combinations of things that usually don't get seen together. The first picture below is of an old house that's falling apart and vacant, with a new replacement home to the right. You might have to enlarge it to get the details. The second picture was just funny, I've never seen a fire hydrant with an out of service tag.

Climb.
I started my Membership at Sport Climb here in Colorado Springs tonight. It's an awesome gym, you should click the link :) I got to try my new shoes tonight for the first time and they were awesome. I have Defy shoes, by Evolv. They're a Vegan rock climbing shoe that's awesome for smearing and edgework while you're climbing. What's even cooler, is that they are made with 50-100% Recycled post-consumer material. Which means they're good for the Earth too! There's nothing quite like a hobby that's eco-minded! Below is a before(provided by Evolvsports.com) pic and an after pic from 1 night of climbing.

Ice Ice Baby
Today Ab and I drove up to Helen Hunt Falls to see the Frozen Waterfall. I had never been there but we were bored and thought it might be fun. It turned out to be really cool. The waterfall looked like it was completely frozen from far away but as we walked closer we could hear the sound of rushing water. Upon closer observation, we found a few holes in the snow where you could see the running water underneath. Here's a shot of the frozen waterfall which was about 3-4 feet thick.

Plaid=Wicked Cool
So, tonight I got some super cool Plaid Pajama Pants. (That's PPP for short by the way) and I thought I would take an abstract shot of them. They are extremely soft, and I feel like a lumberjack when I wear them, which is a good thing, except I really like trees that are living. So, I guess I'm a non tree choppin' lumberjack. Something like that.
Once again, ^^^ those are some soft Plaid Pajama Pants (PPP). Thanks Mom!
