Road Trip West Day 2 (Grand Canyon Day 1)

So we arrived at the Grand Canyon the first night of our trip. It was dark and we set up camp. In the morning (day 2) we took our time getting up and had a filling breakfast. We headed out to see this thing... We decided Day 1 would be where we take the free shuttle system to all of hte points of interest and do all the tourist type stuff.

It's really hard to show the enormity of this. If you haven't been there, get there ASAP. It's like the biggest thing I've EVER seen, period.

Our view from when we saw it for the first time. Ab and I decided to walk up to the first viewpoint with our heads down. Once we got to the railing, we counted to three and looked up. It was like a fake backdrop before us, the contrast of the ground to the grand canyon was fantastic. Absolutely amazing. Thanks to Tax Payers everywhere for preserving this amazing place!
