So we left Grand Canyon National Park early early early. We forgot the whole 'Arizona doesn't participate in Daylight Savings Time' thing and had kinda already changed our clocks :) So we got up an hour early!!! We had planned on waking up at 5:30 and leaving around 6 but instead we woke up at 4:30 and left around 5. Oh well. We got to watch a fantastic sunrise as we drove to California.
Sunrise about 50 miles outside of the Grand Canyon.
Sequoia National Park!
I swirved to miss this thing, I thought for sure it was a Tarantula. Abbey became unsure about Camping, and I was bummed that I hadn't seen it earlier to take a better picture. After talking to a Ranger, we found out that it indeed was a Tarantula but that they wouldn't be at the elevations we were camping at.
Abbey standing next to the Biggest Tree in the World (by volume), the General Sherman Tree. I know I said that the Grand Canyon was the biggest thing I've seen, but these things are equally gigantuous. They are amazing!
