Reading

I had a vision of what this image would be before I took it. However, I chickened out and couldn't totally make it happen. I wanted to have the lady all blurred out as well as the ground behind the book and just have the print of the book in focus. However, using a zoom lens, I have the larger aperture at the wider angles, therefore I would have needed to literally be all up in her bubble, inches away from her head to get that to happen. To make it even more awkward, she had headphones on and had no idea I was around and there were several tables full of people around her that were already trying to figure out what I was taking a picture of as I got the exposure set right. I thought they would be really weirded out if I got inches from this strangers head, took a picture, and then walked off. Plus I didn't want the girl to turn around and have a lens in her face, call me courteous, I know. But at least now you know the vision.
On a side note/thought, how come READING rainbow, was a TV show?
